Sometimes the best part of the movie-going experience is the twenty minute barrage of trailers that precedes the feature. I love when the lights go down and that familiar excitement grows in the pit of my stomach. I love turning to my husband (or whoever I've dragged to the movie with me) and whispering, after three thrillingly-designed minutes of sensory assault, "We HAVE to go see that one!" I love having something to look forward to; often the anticipation is even better than actually seeing it! This is most often true for film versions of my favorite books.
Call me a snob, but I am almost never satisfied. Because, let's be honest: when I say, "I hope they make a movie of this book!" what I actually mean is, "I hope they make an epic eight hour marathon of a movie that includes all of my favorite details and lines, and is cast and shot exactly how I always envisioned it in my mind." So, yeah, Good luck with that, Hollywood. So far only Peter Jackson and his torrid love affair with LOTR has even come close.
So when Norm Gautreau (the BRILLIANT author who lent his considerable design talents to the interior and cover of Spirit Legacy) suggested we create a "book trailer" for Spirit Legacy, I jumped on board right away. This is a fairly new marketing tool for literature, but in this age of vlogs, memes, and viral videos, the time seemed ripe to give it a try. Norm's own book trailers can be seen on his own site at http://www.normanggautreau.com and they are quite remarkable (as are all of his books- go read them immediately!) Anyway, I took advantage of his expertise and the result is below! I hope it piques your interest in Spirit Legacy!
